Tiger Woods Arrested on Suspicion of DUI After Car Crash in Florida
Golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a car crash near his Florida home. Authorities say he showed signs of impairment but was not injured.
JUPITER ISLAND, Florida — Tiger Woods was arrested Friday on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) after a car crash near his home on Jupiter Island, according to authorities.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. when Woods reportedly struck another vehicle and rolled his Land Rover. Officials from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office stated that Woods showed signs of impairment at the scene. No injuries were reported.
This marks another traffic-related incident involving the 15-time major champion. Woods was previously involved in a गंभीर 2021 crash in Los Angeles that left him with serious leg injuries, and he was also arrested for DUI in 2017, later pleading guilty to reckless driving.
Despite setbacks, Woods remains one of golf’s most decorated players, with 82 PGA Tour wins—tied for the all-time record with Sam Snead—and a memorable fifth Masters victory in 2019.
The 50-year-old has been working his way back from multiple injuries, including a ruptured Achilles tendon in 2025 and recent back surgery. His participation in the upcoming Masters tournament remains uncertain.
Authorities say the investigation into the latest crash is ongoing.
